Aug. 18,2007 eSQ Report

Hello To all Brus,

It was nice to see many Espa brus during our last ESQ on August 18,
2007 at Silver Spring Resort, Pansol, Calamba City. We wish to thank
you for coming and sharing with the fellowship as well as in the
business meeting regarding the future of Espaleklek. Let me first also
thank brus from North America who provided the financial support for
making this ESQ possible.

FYI, before fellowship proper and dinner, we spent some time discussing
how to help our Espa brus who are in need. As a strategy, we need to
re-activate the ESPA Foundation, Inc. registerd with the SEC in may
1990 but whose SEC registration was revoked in 1997 for non-reporting.
Anyway, we all agreed that we really need to revive the Foundation.
The lawyer-friend (who used to work at SEC) of bru Alex Reyes will
facilitate the lifting of the revocation order. Fee for this is Php25K.
We wish to thank the following brus for their contributions to cover
the fee as follows:

BTW, in the interim, bru Luis Ranit is Exec. Director; Alex Reyes as
Secretary; and Ino Lansigan as Chair of Foundation for ESPA, inc.

As I have emailed earlier, there are several projects in the pipe-line
once the ESPA is operational.

During the fellowhip cum business meeting, we also discussed the
following plans and projects:

1. Golf Tournament(c/o Jojo Lazaro and Alex Reyes) to raise funds for Espaleklek Alumni Association.

2. Tambayan Beautification at UPLB Campus (c/o Residents and Jojo
Lazaro) - Budget required is Php39k which already exclude labor c/o Jojo Lazaro.

3. Leadership Orientation and Training for Resident Members - to be
conducted by EspaAA

4. Recruitment program of UPLB Espaleklek under Espraken JP Banayo). There are at present 12 members. Five or six are expected to graduate
this academic year.

5. Explore possibility of re-classifying the UPLB Espaleklek other than a 'Fraternity' to attract more potential members.
